CitiScape Property Management Group Helps to Build Computer Language Lab in Haiti

(San Francisco, CA) — CitiScape Property Management Group, a leading full-service property management firm offering professional and proactive management services in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, has kindly donated 5 computers to the European Disaster Relief organization in Haiti. Earlier this year, Property Manager Stephanie Silver (pictured) headed to Haiti to work with EDR to build schools for orphaned children of the 2010 earthquake, teach English and work to create jobs for the local population.

EDR’s mission is to empower the Haitian people and leave in their stead, a foundation they can build upon. Ms. Silver now reports that she and the EDR staff of volunteers have been working with a school, doing both construction and free English language instruction. A language lab is now in the works and the computers donated by CitiScape will be used by students to watch DVDs in English and learn computer programs.

“The students are so excited about the lab.  It makes me giddy.  It is not only thanks to Citiscape’s generous computer donation, but the donation you made to me personally to remain in a country that has allowed this to happen,” said Ms. Silver.
